A Postcard From Heaven

God is trying to communicate with each of us every day in every situation of our lives.

His care and concern for every one of our problems is very personal and individual. The Holy Spirit is longing to minister the good news of God’s Word to every pain, need, concern, or area of confusion in out lives.

It‘s no accident that Jesus urged us to pray to God as “Abba”—the Hebrew equivalent of “Daddy.”

Wouldn’t you like to get a postcard from God like this?”

Dearest child,

Pay attention to the words you speak today.
Your words are the evidence of your heart,
For the mouth speaks the things that are in the heart.

As the fruit of a tree tells what kind of tree it is,
Your words will tell what kind of person you are inside.
Whatever you have stored up in your secret self
Will be revealed by what you are saying to those
Around you.

Your words have the power to crush or restore,
To tear down or build up,
To demoralize or encourage.
When you are filled to overflowing with my
Holy Spirit, your words cannot help but
Be a blessing to others.

Jesus said, “The words I told you are
Spirit, and they give life.”
Dwell on His words so that the words
Which overflow from you may also be life-giving.

Speak a blessing to someone today.

If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, Do not attempt to resolve it yourself!

Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. All situations will be resolved, but in My Time, not yours.

Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now.

If you find yourself struck in traffic, don’t despair. There are people in this world for whom driving
is an unheard of privilege.

Should you have a bad day at work, think of the man who has been out of work for years.

Should you despair over a relationship gone bad, think of the person who has never known what
 it’s like to love and be loved in return.

Should you grieve the passing of another weekend, think of the woman in dire straits,
working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.

Should your car break down leaving you miles away from assistance, think of the paraplegi
who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror, think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes
she had hair to examine.

Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose?
Be thankful. There are those who didn’t live long enough to get the opportunity.

Should you find yourself the victim of other people’s bitterness, ignorance, smallness
or insecurities, remember things could be worse. You could be one of them!

Should you decide to share this with a friend, Thank you.
You may have touched their life in ways you will never know!

Now, You MAKE it a nice day.

Dear Friend:

As the time is not right for us to meet just yet, and as my hearts greatest desire is that you would know me, I have made a way for this by inspiring a group of loyal and dedicated men, who have walked and talked with me and known me intimately, to write about me.

Out of love and devotion they have honored my request, and I must say they did an excellent job as they left not a word out that I said, and were very careful to give an accurate and complete account of my life and purpose.

I am most pleased with their finished work, The Holy Bible, and have blessed it with my eternal seal of approval.

If you read this Book you will come to know Me. Through every word you will hear my voice, and when my word touches your heart, your eyes will be opened and you will see my face in every line. Indeed, if while reading this Book you feel someone looking over your shoulder, don’t be afraid, it is only my spirit with love leading and guiding you to my truth.

Through reading this Book you will learn of the miracle of my birth, my victory over death, and the miracles in-between. You will come to know me in the most personal way, my hopes and dreams, my heartache and tears, the things I love and hate. You will visit Nazareth where I grew up and many of my favorite places where I often taught and preached the Word of God.

You will meet my mother and father, my brothers, my friends, and my enemies, those who sought to destroy me and those who struggled to lift me up. You will hear of the battles I’ve fought, of victory and defeat, times of great rejoicing and of deep sorrows, and will be introduced to a people I love, a nation I cherish, and the promises I have made unto them.

As my destiny unfolds, you will listen in on my prayers, and walk with me on the journey of my life, and as an eye witness, share with me the happiest and worst times of my life.

Within the pages of this human drama you will come face to face with every emotion and situation known to mankind, and as no great book is complete without a love story, within its pages you will read the greatest love story of all. It is the soul gripping story of a father and His beloved Son, the special bond they shared, love that transcended heaven and earth, and their daring plan to save the world.
I promise you that it is a story you will never forget.
It will change your life forever.

And now for the good news! Although many (including myself) have paid a great price for this Book, some with their life, I am sending it to you free of charge.

It is a gift from me to you.
I humbly only ask that you will read it often,
treasure it always,
and will share it with your friends.

A Letter From Jesus

I am sending you this letter by way of one of My Disciples. I just wanted to let you know how much
I Love and Care about you and how I Greatly Desire to become a meaningful part of your life.

This Morning when you awoke, I was already there with you in the Light of My Beautiful Sunshine
that filled your room. I was hoping that you would say Good Morning to Me; you didn’t.
So, I thought maybe it was just a little too early in the day for you to notice Me.

Again, I tried to get your attention when you stepped p out of your door. I Kissed your face with
a Soft Gentile Breeze. I Breathed upon you My Fragrant Sweet Breath Scented with Flowers.
Then I Sang you a Love Song through the Birds in the Trees. You just walked right past Me.

Later on in the day, I Watched over you as you were talking with some of your friends.
 Oh! How I Wished that you would talk to Me also, I waited and waited,
 but you just went along your way.

This Afternoon I sent you a refreshing Shower and Glistened to you from each Rain Drop.
 I even Shouted to you a time or two with Thunder trying to get your attention.
 Then, I Painted you a Lovely Rainbow in the midst of My Fluffy White Clouds
I just knew you would see Me then, but you were unaware of My Presence.

This Evening to close your day, I sent you a Beautiful Sunset
After that, I Winked at you a thousand times through My Stars hoping that you would
see Me and wink back. You Never Did.

Tonight, when you went to bed, I Spilled Moonlight upon your face to let you know that I was
 there with you. I was hoping that you would balk to Me a little while before you went to sleep.
 You never said a word. It Hurt Me Deeply; however, I continued to watch over you all through the night thinking that maybe, just maybe, you would say hello to Me in the Morning.

Each and every Day I have Revealed Myself to you in many Strange and Wondrous Ways
hoping that you would except Me as your Shepherd. For, I Am the Only One that can Supply
you with all your Needs.

My Love for you is Deeper than the Deepest Ocean and Bigger than the Great Blue Sky.
I have so very much to give to you and also share with you. Please le Me hear from you soon.

The Letter

Dear Friend,

How are you! I just had to send a note to tell you how much I care about you.

I saw you yesterday as you were talking with your friends, I waited all day hoping you would want to talk with me too.

I have you a sunset to close your day and cool breeze to rest you….and I waited. You never came. It hurt me… but I still love you because I am your Friend.

I saw you sleeping last night and I longed to touch your grow so I spilled moonlight upon your face. Again I waited wanting to rush down so we could talk.

I have so many gifts for you!
You awoke and rushed off to work…
My Tears were in the rain.

If you would only listen to me! I love you! I try to tell you in blue skies and in quiet green grass. I whisper it in leaves on the trees and breathe it in colors of flowers, shout it out to you in mountain streams, give the birds love songs to sing.

I clothe you with warm sunshine and perfume the air with nature scents. My love you you is deeper that the ocean and bigger than the biggest need in your heart!
Ask Me! Talk with Me!
Please don’t forget Me.
I have so much to share with you!

I won’t hassle you any further!
It is YOUR DECISION.

God’s Love Letter To You

My Dear Child, I love you!

I shed My own blood for you to make you clean. You are clean now, so believe that it is true.

You are lovely in My eyes, and I created you to be just as you are. Do not criticize yourself
or get down for not being perfect in your own eyes. This leads only to frustration.
I want you to trust Me—one step, one day at a time. Dwell in My power and In My love and be free!

Be yourself! Don’t allow other people to run you. I will guide you, if you let Me.
Be aware of My Presence in everything. I give you patience, love, joy, peace and life.
Look to Me for your answers. I am your Shepherd and will lead you
Follow Me only! Do not ever forget this. Listen to Me and I will tell you My will. I love you, My child.

I love you! Let My love flow from you and spill over to all you touch.
 Do not be concerned with yourself—you are My responsibility. I will change you,
 and you will hardly know it is happening.
You are to love yourself and love others simply because I love you.
Take your eyes off yourself!
Look only at Me!
I lead-
I change-
I create-
But not when you are trying.
I won’t fight your efforts. You are mine. Let Me give you joy, peace and kindness.
No one else can! Do you see, My dear child?

You belong to Me. It is really none of your business how I deal with you,
for your are not your own, but you are bought with a price. The price of Love!

Do not struggle, but just relax in My love, My will is perfect! My love is sufficient!
I will supply all of your needs according to My riches in glory.

Look to Me, My dear child, I love you.
Trust Me!
Your Heavenly Father

"Delight yourself in the Lord and
He will give you the desires of your heart."
(Psalm 37:4)

Everyone longs to give themselves completely to someone.
To have a deep soul relationship with another, to be loved thoroughly and exclusively.
But to a Christian, God says no. Not until you’re satisfied and fulfilled and content,
unreservedly to Me alone.

I do love you my child, and until you discover that only in Me is your satisfaction to be found,
 you will not be capable of the perfect human relationship that I have planned for you.

You will never be united with another until you are united with Me, exclusive of any other
desires or longings. I want you to stop planning, stop wishing, and allow Me to bring it to you.

You just keep watching Me, expecting the greatest things.
Keep experiencing the satisfaction of knowing that I Am.
Keep learning and listening to the things I tell you
You must wait. Don’t be anxious. Don’t worry.
Don’t look around at the things that other have gotten
or that I’ve given them.
Don’t look around at the things that you think you want.
Just keep looking off and away Up to Me,
Or you will miss what I want to show you.

And when you’re ready, I’ll surprise you with a love far more wonderful than any would ever dream of.
You see, until you are ready and until the one I have for you is ready, until you are both
satisfied exclusively with Me and the life I have planned for you, you won’t be able to experience
the love that exemplifies your relationship with Me, and is thus perfect love.

I am working even this minute, to have both of you ready at the same time. And dear child, I want you to have the most wonderful love. I want you to see in the flesh a picture of your own relationship with Me, and to enjoy materially and concretely the everlasting union of beauty and perfection that I offer you with Myself.
 

Know that I Love you.
I Am Almighty God.
Believe and Be Satisfied.

Ruth’s Letter
Ruth went to her mailbox and there was only one letter.
She picked it up and looked at it before opening,
But then she looked at the envelope again.
There was no stamp, no postmark, only her name and address.
She read the letter:

Dear Ruth,
I’m going to be in your neighborhood
Saturday afternoon
and I’d like to stop by for a visit.
Love always,
Jesus

Her hands were shaking as she placed the letter on the table. “Why would the Lord want to visit me? I’m nobody special. I don’t have anything to offer.” With that thought, Ruth remembered her empty kitchen cabinets. “Oh my goodness, I really don’t have anything to offer. I’ll have to run down to the store an buy something to for dinner. She reached for her purse and counted out it’s contents. Five dollars and forty cents. “Well, I can get some bread and cold cuts, at least.

She threw on her coat and hurried out the door. A loaf of French bread, a half-pound of sliced turkey, and a carton of milk…leaving Ruth with a grand total of twelve cents to last her until Monday. Nevertheless, she felt good as she headed home, her meager offerings tucked under her arm.

“Hey lady, can you help us, lady?” Ruth had been so absorbed in her dinner plans, she hadn’t even noticed two figures huddled in the alleyway. A man and a woman, both of them dressed in little more than rags. “Look, lady, I ain’t got a job, ya know, and my wife and I have been living out here on the street, and well, if you could help us, lady, we’d really appreciate it.”

Ruth looked at them both. They were dirty, they smelled bad and, frankly, she was certain that they could get some kind of work if they really wanted to. “Sir, I’d like to help you, but I’m a poor woman myself. All I have is a few cold cuts and some bread, and I’m having an important guest for dinner tonight and I was planning on serving that to Him.” “Yeah, well, okay lady, I understand. Thanks anyway.”

The man put his arm around the woman’s shoulders, turned and headed back into the alley. As she watched them leave, Ruth felt a familiar twinge in her heart. “Sir, wait!” The couple stopped and turned as she ran down the alley after them. “Look, why don’t you take this food. I’ll figure out something else to serve my guest.” She handed the man her grocery bag. “Thank you, lady. Thank you very much!” Yes, thank you!”

It was the man’s wife Ruth could see now that she was shivering. “You know, I’ve got another coat at home. Here, why don’t you take this one.” Ruth unbuttoned her jacket and slipped it over the woman’s shoulders. Then smiling, she turned and walked back to the street…without her coat and nothing to serve her guest. “Thank you lady! Thank you very much!”

Ruth was chilled by the time she reached her front door, and worried too. The Lord was coming to visit and she didn’t have anything to offer Him. She fumbled through her purse for the door key. But as she did, she noticed another envelope in her mailbox. “That’s odd. The mailman doesn’t usually come twice in one day.” She took the envelope out of the box and opened it.

Dear Ruth,
It was so good to see you again.
Thank you for the lovely meal.
And thank you, too, for the beautiful coat.

The air was still cold, but even without her coat, Ruth no longer noticed.

Good Morning:

I am the Lord your God.
Today I will be handling all of your problems. Please remember that I do not need your help. If the devil happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, Do Not attempt to resolve it. Kindly put it in the SFJTD (something for Jesus to do) box. It will be addressed in My time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold on to it or attempt to remove it.

Holding on or removal will delay the resolution of your problem. If it is a situation that you think you’re capable of handling, please consult Me in prayer to be sure that it is the proper resolution.

Because I do not sleep nor do I slumber,
there is no need for you to lose any sleep.
Rest my child.

I am only a prayer away.

Footprints

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the
beach with the Lord. Across the sky
flashed scenes from his life. For each
scene, he noticed two sets of footprints
in the sand; one belonging to him, and
the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed
before him, he looked back at the footprints
in the sand. He noticed that many times along
the path of his life there was only one set of
footprints. He also noticed that it happened
at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the
Lord about it. “Lord, you said that once I decided
to follow You, You’d walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome
times in my life, there is only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why, when I needed You most,
You would leave me.”

The Lord replied, “My precious, precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you. During
your times of trial and suffering,
when you saw only
one set of footprints,
it was then that
I Carried You.”
