The Station
“The Station”
Tucked away in our subconscious minds is an idyllic vision on which we see ourselves on a
We’re traveling by train and, from the windows; we drink in the passing scenes of cars on
But uppermost in our minds is our final destination—for at a certain hour and on a given day,
And once that day comes, so many wonderful dreams will come true.
“Yes, when we reach the station, that will be it!” we promise ourselves
From that day on we will all live happily ever after.
Sooner or later, however, we must realize there is no station in this life, no one earthly
The journey is the joy. The station is an illusion— It constantly outdistances us. Yesterday‘s a memory, tomorrow’s a dream Yesterday belongs to a history, tomorrow belongs to God. Yesterday’s a fading sunset, tomorrow’s a faint sunrise. Only today is there light enough to love and live. So, gently close the door on yesterday and throw the key away.
It isn’t the burdens of today that drive men mad, but rather the regret over yesterday
“Relish the moment” is a good motto, especially when coupled with Psalm 118:24,
So stop pacing the aisles and counting the miles. Instead, swim more rivers,
Laugh more And Cry less.
Go barefoot oftener. Eat more ice cream. Ride more merry-go-rounds Watch more sunsets. Life must be lived as we go along.
Robert Hastings is right. There is no station you can get to in this life that will make any difference
But there is a very important Station that will come eventually.
This station will be reached while wearing your traveling clothes. Better known our “going-home-clothes.”
When you stop and think about this, you cannot help but realize that we all are pilgrims making our trip homeward.
Though faith in Christ, we are all homeward bound. As God gradually transfers our loved ones to
What bright hope is in those words. And if ever there were a time when we needed hope it is Now!
Romans 15:13 says, “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in
What is it saying?
Overflowing with hope means overflowing with joy and
Hope that teaches us that our Heavenly Father is building us a mansion in heaven. John 14:1-3:
He is preparing He is coming again He will receive us unto Himself That where He is We will be also. The Way –you will know.
Enjoy Your Journey Live the experiences Learn along the way Look upward Keep listening You may hear the trumpet sound!
Do more than exist…..Live! Do more than touch…..Feel! Do more than look…..See! Do more than hear…..Listen! Do more than talk…..Say Something!
When I Come Home to heaven
When I come home to heaven How joyful it will be! For on that day at last My risen Lord I’ll see.
No greater happiness thatn To see Him face to face, To see the love in His eyes And fell His war embrace.
I’ve done nothing to deserve That perfect home above. It was given freely through The grace of Jesus’love.
Then why should earthly cares Weigh down upon me so? They’ll be a distant memory When home at last I go.
One of our greatest friends is hope. And the reason is because of our hope in the life to come.
But the greatest-- Joy Is Love.

America is more than TV-- …Frozen foods, Xerox, Credit cards, and frizbees She’s bigger than Leonard Bernstein— …Ann Landers, Michael Jackson, George Bush Grandma Moses, Batman and McDonald’s. America— …Young in the eyes of History …Mature in the role of leadership, …Strong in the heat of battle …Weak in the arms of prosperity. Sometimes— …Too boastful of her wealth, …Too public with her problems, …Too believing in her critics, …Too faithful to her own.
So She is— …Criticized by her friends, Scolded by her neighbors, …Scorned by her enemies, Loved by her children. But whatever else She may be, She’s still a great place to call Home. America…the name is a synonym around the world for justice, freedom, and liberty. America— …It is a place you can say what you please, …To whom ever you please …Wherever you please …And not have to worry about who’s listening. America---it’s walking out your front door …anytime you want to. While other countries have had to build walls and fences to keep their citizens from getting out…
And where else do they have mobile homes that don’t move? ...Or instant coffee for slow relaxing? …Or keep the juries locked up at night while the prisoners go home? …Or park cars on driveways…and drive cars on parkways?
She has been called the family of freedom, …The arena of opportunity, …The land of the brave, …The residence of justice …And the light of liberty
Now…I can’t be sure about you and yours. But as for me and mine… WE BELIEVE IN AMERICA!
Originally the official title was to be: HIS HIGHNESS THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES AND PROTECTOR OF THE LIBERTY.
THE PRESIDENT. Take Zachary Taylor… He’d never voted in his life. Not even once! When they asked him if he were a Whig or a democrat, he said he didn’t rightly know. When the wigs nominated him anyway and notified him by mail, he refused to pay the ten cents postage due and sent the nomination back…unopened. As you can see, there have been changes made in the last couple of hundred years in our Great Nation. Let us steadfastly pray that America will always be a free nation, governed by its citizens and ruled by the Hand of an Almighty God.. Who our forefathers found to be Worthy!
